Kathy LaLiberte is a founding employee of Gardener’s Supply and continues to play an active role in the company. After many years as Creative Director, she now serves as Director of Gardening, Editor in Chief, and Director of Online Content and Community. Kathy has won many awards for her writing and recently created the company’s new interactive Kitchen Garden Planner.

Kathy was in college when she planted her first vegetable garden. Over the past 23 years she has been creating gardens around her home in Richmond, Vermont, which now cover several acres and include a large vegetable garden, cutting garden, perennial gardens, rock garden, shade garden, berries, container plantings, a meadow garden and a seasonal greenhouse. By canning and freezing, growing crops for winter storage, and employing a variety of different season-extending techniques, Kathy’s Zone 4 gardens provide food for her table every month of the year.
Kathy writes for a number of gardening magazines and online publications, and is co-author of a book entitled Passport to Gardening. She has traveled widely, and has lead several garden tours in England. She holds a BS in Environmental Education from the University of Vermont.
